be checked after approximately 30 to 40 hours of operation. The minimum

Q: How to operate power tools safely?
A: Following are the general precautions when operating power tools:
  1. Do not expose power tools in rain and do not use power tools in damp or wet locations as this may cause electric shock.
  2. Power tools produce sparking during operation so never use them on dangerous materials that are combustible or explosive such as thinner, gasoline, gases.
  3. Only use the power tools at specified voltage stated on the nameplate of the tools. Using power tools at greater voltage than that specified on the tools can cause serious injury to the user and/or may damage the tools.
  4. Always keep work area clean.
  5. Always keep children away.
  6. Always disconnect tools when not in use, before servicing or when changing accessories and spare parts.

  10. Inspect the power tools periodically. In the event of power tools failure, do not dissemble the tools, immediately consult or bring them to our service center.
  11. Always maintain your power tools by keeping them sharp and clean for better and safer performance.
  12. If an extension cord is to be used outside always use one that is suitable for outdoor use i.e. must have adequate wire size to prevent loss of power and overheating.

  2. Grounding plus electric leakage-sensitive breaker
  3. Double insulation system
Q: What does “the sparks produced by carbon brushes” mean ?
A: One of the disadvantages is the sparks produced by carbon brushes in contact with rotating commutator. As the sparks get bigger, they come to cause many trouble such as a drop in output power, abnormal wear of carbon brushes and interference with other electronic appliances.

The causes of the sparks are as follows:
  1. Carbon brushes:
    o Abnormal contact with commutator
    o Worn out brushes
  2. Commutator:
    o Chapped surface
    o Scratches
  3. Armature Coil:
    o Short Circuit
    o Broken Wire
  4. Around Commutator:
o Foreign Bodies such as dirt, dust, etc
